Growing in faith with others

God created us to be in relationship with others, with the Trinity as the example at the heart of our faith – Father, Son and Holy Spirit complete in themselves but also part of a greater whole.

Taking the opportunity to explore our faith with others, is often a source of growth.  It’s a bit like exercise – we intend to do it on our own but sometimes it’s when we do it with others that we do it more and enjoy it more.

At the bottom of this page you can download three leaflets that offer structures to help you explore and reflect on your faith with others:

  • Firepit Leaflet – offers a simple structure that can be used repeatedly with groups of all ages – Gather, Share, Pray, Commit
  • Everyday Faith Everywhere Leaflet for groups explores how we can live out our faith our conversations and actions, undergirded with prayer and Bible reading.  It can be used as a five-week course
  • Encouraging One Another in Everyday Faith – is based on a Cursillo approach and is for groups of 3 or 4 to support each other living out their faith, using the 5 Marks of Mission as a benchmark for reflection.

Many people find that they grow in faith by their service to others – seeing Christ in other people, often people in need. It’s very common for people to want to help others and then discover that they have gained as much as the person they are helping.  For inspiration about this way of living out faith, there is lots of inspiration in this section.
