As the Moorland Federation’s three Heads of School prepared for their ambitious ‘Heads up for Air Rescue’ challenge, pupils across all eight schools added their own special contribution, writing thoughtful, heartfelt prayers to support the cyclists on their journey.
It has been a busy and exciting start to the academic year for our 182 church schools and our schools’ team here in Bath and Wells. Here we share a roundup, in numbers, of some of the things that have taken place since September:
The school has been awarded a Level 5 Outstanding from the RHS for it's work in the school garden.
Across our diocese church communities have been gathering together to celebrate Harvest and give thanks for God's provision.
New School Leaders are welcomed into the Diocese of Bath and Wells Education family and enjoyed Evensong at Wells Cathedral together followed by a reception with Bishop Michael at The Bishops Palace.
On Monday, 15 September, over 2,500 primary and middle school children, plus school staff, from 20 schools across Somerset took part in the first of what will be a regular opportunity to join together online in worship throughout the academic year.

Bishop Michael joined Christchurch Primary School for the official opening and blessing of its brand-new Nurture Hub facility, a dedicated space designed to support the emotional and social wellbeing of its pupils.
