New bishop for children and young people

A bishop cares for all the people in their area… that includes you, your family and everyone in your school and at your church.

As we seek to find the right new bishop for our area, we asked children and young people to answer three key questions to help us. Over 1,000 children took part and either responded individually or as a part of family group or one from their school or church group.

Although this part of the consultation about the new is now closed, you can still find out what a bishop does watching the video below and also print off the activity sheet below.

What does a bishop do?

Let us pray

Too late to take part in the consultation? Don't worry, you can still join us in prayer. There will also be a public meeting by Zoom on Monday, 20 September at 7pm to which all are invited. Joining details to follow in September.

Loving God, we pray for those who will be making decisions about the new Bishop of Bath and Wells. We pray that as they listen to others and to You, that
they choose the right person to lead the diocese and its people in the future.
Amen.
