Zambia - Bath and Wells Sunday
Zambia - Bath and Wells Sunday is an opportunity for every parish across our six partner dioceses to pray and learn more about each other, and to consider our place as part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Zambia Sunday was first launched in 2021. The idea came from Bishop Peter following his 2019 visit to Zambia. This year, on Sunday, 2 July we plan to expand our celebration and have renamed it 'Zambia -Bath & Wells Sunday'. The idea is for us all, both here and in Zambia, to celebrate together at the same time.
Last year, we welcomed Archbishop Albert Chama, Bishop Derek Kamukwamba and Bishop Robert Mumbi to the diocese prior to the Lambeth Conference. This was a wonderful opportunity for the bishops and their wives to visit their link parishes. Some of these were able to welcome their bishop to their Zambia Sunday service.
Ahead of Zambia Sunday Bishop Michael chatted with Archbishop Albert Chama. They talk about the importance of the Zambia - Bath & Wells link and how we are all strengthened by our understanding of one another and our love of God.
