This practical and supportive training day is designed for new or recently appointed Religious Education (RE) leads in schools. It provides a clear introduction to the responsibilities of subject leadership and will allow time to reflect on your own context.
You will explore the distinctive role of RE in church schools, including SIAMS expectations, explore locally agreed syllabi as well as the current pedagogical best practice and look at resources that can support teaching and learning across your school.
There will be opportunities to review your current provision, consider assessment, and begin developing an action plan, leaving you feeling more confident and equipped to lead RE in your setting.
