New Benefice Looking for Priest-in-Charge with wings!

Are you who the parishes of Charlton Musgrove, Cucklington with Stoke Trister and Bayford, Pen Selwood and Wincanton are looking for?

The four parishes of Charlton Musgrove, Cucklington with Stoke Trister and Bayford, Pen Selwood and Wincanton in the proposed Monarch’s Way Benefice are enjoying working together with a growing sense of identity and vision; and are looking for a new Priest who will relish being part of something new and exciting in beautiful South Somerset.

Could you be the ‘Angel’ of our benefice who will:

  • herald the good news and bring light into the darkness and trust that God is in control
  • bring in a new beginning in which children and the next generation of people will be even more important
  • be caring and draw more people into a life of faith in Jesus and the churches of the benefice
  • be welcoming and encourage us to work alongside you – bringing a message that says ‘come with me’
  • (may) be musical
  • bring a big fanfare to help us celebrate the new benefice
  • be cheeky!

  • The support of committed lay teams, PCCs, Readers, Lay worship ministers, a part-time administrator, clergy colleagues with PTO, and many willing disciples who will welcome and want to work alongside you.
