Could you help preserve 700 years of Glastonbury’s history?
In the heart of Glastonbury, a beautiful medieval chapel and row of small almshouses have offered a place of peace, prayer and reflection for more than 700 years.
Lovingly restored and cared for by dedicated volunteers, St Margaret’s Chapel and Almshouses now welcomes more than 38,000 visitors from around the world each year.
The Mary and Margaret Charity, which cares for this historic site, is seeking new trustees from the Diocese of Bath and Wells to bring their time, enthusiasm and fresh ideas to its future.
The charity would particularly welcome people interested in researching the chapel’s medieval past, as well as those with IT or digital skills who could help develop the interpretation of the site’s long history.
No previous trustee experience is needed.
As a trustee, you will help guide the charity, contribute to its future planning and ensure this special place can be enjoyed for generations to come.
