A daily act of collective worship is a requirement in all schools. In Church schools, collective worship offers children a chance to learn and experience what it means to worship in a Christian context.
Each school’s approach to worship will vary but, at its core, worship provides a space for everyone’s spiritual development. This time may also strengthen connections with local churches and celebrate key events in the Christian calendar, such as Christmas and Easter.
Support for schools
We offer support to all schools and academies in planning, leading, and evaluating collective worship. Visit our Schools training and events page to find out more about these training opportunities.
