Reflective practice
Becoming a member of a reflective group will:
Many clergy find reflective groups helpful and, by meeting together with colleagues, the experience can enhance their general wellbeing. The initiative to form such groups is to create safe, confidential spaces whereby clergy commit to meeting four times a year in a small group of six members, who will share and discuss issues that affect work. The group is not a place for formal, personal therapy, although sharing personal issues at times can be a healthy part of sharing and of relevance to overall self-care. This group of collegial support is hoped to promote reflection on aspects of ministry and life that will, in turn, provide insight and clarity, less isolation in difficulty and reduce stress and burn-out.
