Forums for Trustees (online and in person)

Date: 4 November 2025 and 3 march 2026 online and 4 June in person.

Location: Zoom and in person (June)

Cost: Free

This forum, facilitated by the diocesan Education team, is an opportunity for directors/trustees of Multi-Academy Trusts to meet and discuss current issues facing them, particularly with regard to Church school distinctiveness, and to network with others within the wider diocesan area. We are able to share best practise and experience within the group. It is important to us that each trust is represented.

The November and February forums are online, and the June forum is in-person at Flourish House.

In person Forum 

Join us for our in person trustee's  Forum  at Flourish House, Wells. An opportunity to meet with Trustees from MATs across Bath and Wells and network over tea and cake and discuss key issues.

This forum, facilitated by the diocesan education team, is an opportunity for directors/trustees of Multi-Academy Trusts to meet to discuss current issues facing them, particularly with regard to Church school distinctiveness, and to network with others within the wider diocesan area.

Church School Governance for Members and Trustees

Date: 14 October 2025 and 12 May 2026 at 6pm

Location: Zoom

Cost: Free

An introduction to governance as a Trustee or a Member within a Multi Academy Trust. Suitable for those who have been newly appointed, or those looking for a refresher, and who would like to know more about their strategic responsibility for governance across their trust. It is an expectation that Trustees/Members will attend this session and again if reappointed.

Members Forum 2025

Date : 18 November 2025

Location: Zoom

Cost: Free

This forum is an opportunity for the Diocesan Corporate Member (DCM) to really understand their role and the interface with the Diocesan Board of Education and the Education Department, particularly with the changes contained within the new church Articles.
