Mental health and well-being

The UK Mental Health Foundation has advised that one in four adults and one in ten children are likely to have a mental health problem in any given year.  As churches we want to ensure that a welcome for all is provided, but we recognise that it can be hard to spot or to respond appropriately to people who are experiencing a mental health issue.

A resource pack, “Discovering Wholeness Together – how can the local church engage with mental well-being?” is available to download from the bottom of this page.  The pack is intended to provide an introduction to information and organisations which are available to parishes as they work to raise awareness, foster community engagement and support those with mental health and well-being concerns across the Diocese of Bath & Wells.
