Collective Worship

A daily act of collective worship is a requirement in all schools. In Church schools, collective worship is an important part of the day, offering children a chance to learn and experience what it means to worship in a Christian context.

Each school’s approach to worship will vary, but at its core, worship provides a space for everyone’s spiritual development. This time may also strengthen connections with local churches and celebrate key events in the Christian calendar, such as Christmas and Easter.

Support for schools

We offer support to all schools and academies in planning, leading, and evaluating collective worship. Our CPD (Continuing Professional Development) page has information on training opportunities.

We offer online collective worship training for all schools to support with planning, leading and evaluating collective worship.
