Diocesan Peacebuilding Adviser appointed

Bishop Ruth has appointed Simon Keyes as Diocesan Peacebuilding Adviser. This is a new unpaid role, alongside the other volunteer advisers who contribute to the work of the diocese. Simon brings a wealth of practical experience and insight to the role and is looking forward to collaborating with people across the diocese who feel called to the ministry of peacebuilding.

A course, starting in May, will explore peacebuilding and a network of peacebuilders will emerge from that. The network will aim to offer trained volunteers to assist parishes who find themselves having to confront uncomfortable differences or disagreement which threaten the harmony of the congregation or community.
