Bishop Michael discusses how the link can continue to develop and flourish with clergy in Zambia and learns about some wonderful projects developed with the support of parishes in Bath and Wells.
Bishop Michael is spending two weeks in Zambia and is visiting
Bishop Michael will undertake his first visit to Zambia as Bishop of Bath and Wells next month.
Mila Tsoneva, who is a specialist vocal scholar, travelled to Zambia to further her knowledge of African choral traditions.
On Sunday 2 September, we hold Archbishop Albert Chama, and the people of the Diocese of Lusaka, in our thoughts and prayers, as Archbishop Albert is enthroned as the new Bishop of Lusaka.

This week we welcomed Kelvin Munsongo, Head of Programmes for the Zambia Anglican Council to Bath and Wells who is in the UK to attend USPGs annual conference, which this year focused on the theme of justice – for climate, gender and race. Kelvin came across to Bath and Wells to meet with Bishop Michael and Sara Emmett, our Adviser for Climate Justice and Environment.
Churches across Bath and Wells and in Zambia are invited to celebrate the links between the dioceses on Sunday, 2 July on the renamed ‘Zambia - Bath and Wells Sunday’.
Fr Bernard Phiri and Fr Emmanuel Ngoma, two priests from the Diocese of Eastern Zambia, travelled to Bath and Wells to spend time with their link parishes.
