The diocese of Bath and Wells and the Bath and Wells Diocesan Registry are bidding a fond farewell to Janet Saxon, Deputy Diocesan Registrar, who will be retiring this Christmas.
Janet has become a familiar point of contact for clergy, parishes, and enquirers throughout the diocese, providing support and advice in a hands-on and friendly way.
Christopher Jones, the Diocesan Registrar said:“The Diocesan Registry team and the parishes and people we support have benefitted from Janet’s enthusiasm, wisdom, and friendly approach to her work. We bid farewell to Janet with our thanks and warmest wishes for a well-earned retirement.”
Sarah Williams, Registry Manager, will resume handling the procedural work that Janet has undertaken in the past decade including the preparation of clergy licences, coordinating ordination documentation, private faculties, and grave space reservations.
