20 new school leaders along with CEOs and representatives from various Multi Academy Trusts were invited to Evensong at Wells Cathedral, followed by a reception at the Bishop’s Palace in Wells.
The new leaders are taking up new headship roles, or senior leadership roles in one of the Multi Academy Trusts which home many of our Church of England Schools.
The group joined the Education team and Bishop Michael for Evensong before heading to the Bishop’s Palace for cake and drinks. At the reception Bishop Michael presented each new head teacher with a Bible.
Speaking after the evening, Simon Marriott, CEO of Kaleidoscope Multi-Academy Trust said, “Thank you for Tuesday evening's event. The leaders involved were extremely positive and really enjoyed it. We all felt that Evensong was wonderful”
Commenting on X (formerly Twitter) Steve Lung, Head Teacher at Flax Bourton Church of England Primary School, part of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership said of the evening,
“It was a privilege to be invited to Wells Cathedral and share this moment with others.”
