The diocesan Finance team are hosting a series of training sessions for treasurers later in the year. There will be three sessions in total, two face-to-face and one online session.
The main focus of the sessions will be sharing information and resources to help treasurers perform their role. There will also be opportunities to share learnings with fellow treasurers and receive an update on the financial position of the Diocesan Board of Finance.
The first session will take place at Flourish House, Wells from 12:00 to 16:00 on Monday, 27 November. Taunton Archdeaconry will host a session from 10:00 to 14:00 on 29 November at The Clist Room, Rye, Puriton, Bridgwater TA7 8BZ, and an evening Zoom session is planned for 18:00 to 21:00 on Wednesday, 6 December.
Matthew Pinnock, diocesan Head of Finance will host the sessions, alongside the archdeacons. He says, “I am really pleased that we are in a position to reintroduce the face-to-face training sessions for our treasurers. Although we have had opportunities to meet online and discuss various matters over the last couple of years, this will be the first time in a number of years that we can meet in person and provide support to help them carry out this invaluable role for their church.”
