In the first week of July, the Go Team are inviting churches across our diocese to take part in a week of prayer for children and young people. Each day, throughout the week, special prayers reflecting the daily theme will be posted on the Go Team and diocesan social media channels. Prayers will also be included in the diocesan Prayer Calendar.
Schools and colleges are encouraged to join in through chaplains and local church links.
Andy Levett, Go Team Advisor said, ‘As a team we’ll be gathering to pray for half an hour each day and we’d love you to do the same wherever you are and at a time that suits you.
‘We are excited to see what opportunities might begin to open up as we pray for the children and young people, families and schools in our communities.’
The week’s prayer guide with themes, prayer points and bible passages for each day is available to download. It will also feature some more creative and interactive prayer ideas for using at home, in small groups and in church services.
