On Windrush Sunday, members of Bath's Caribbean community joined Christ Church, Bath to celebrate the church’s relationship with the community.
They were joined by Bishop Ruth who presided and preached at the service and the Mayor of Bath, June Player.
The experiences of some of those who made the journey from the Caribbean to the UK, were shared by their grandchildren with the congregation. Members of Bath Black and OME Senior Citizens' Project sang one of the hymns and there was music from the Rainbow Steel Band.
There was also time to reflect, on a 'welcome': given (or not), received and to be extended in future.
You can watch the service on the Christ Church Facebook page.
22 June 2021 will mark the fourth national Windrush Day and 73 years since the SS Empire Windrush arrived at Tilbury Docks.
