Dan Wills joins Bath and Wells as the Net Zero Support Assistant

We welcome Dan Wills who joins Bath and Wells in a new and externally funded role as a Net Zero Support Assistant. Dan will be working part-time with Climate Justice and Environment Advisor, Sara Emmett and the Environment Group and Network as we work towards the diocesan commitment of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030.

Dan has a degree in human and physical geography and a master’s in environmental management and policy from Bristol University where he studied the impacts of climate change and ways vulnerable communities and businesses can mitigate it.

Sara Emmett, Bath and Wells Climate Justice and Environment Advisor, said, ‘It is absolutely fantastic to have Dan on board. We’re really keen to use his skills and knowledge from his master’s degree and experience to have some additional support for our parishes and our wider communities to engage with net zero carbon and creation care.’

Mike Haslam, Action Mission Development Team Leader said Dan's appointment reflects our diocesan commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2030, ‘We are really pleased to have been able to source the external funding for this new role. It is a recognition of the climate emergency and the need to get to net zero as fast as possible. We are looking forward to working with Dan.’
