St Thomas church spire restoration in progress

The six-month restoration project to replace St Thomas' church spire, that came down during Storm Eunice, is complete and the Revd Claire Towns, Priest in Charge at St Thomas', went up in the 'cherry picker' to bless the new spire.

Watch the spire take shape once more, in the timelapse video from Ecclesiastical, the church insurers.

When blessing the spire, the Revd Claire said, “May this spire be a symbol of hope and new life for many.”
