Journeying towards Easter

In Holy Week Bishop Michael will be out and about around the diocese, joining in with churches as we journey toward Easter.

Throughout the week he will be holding four evening reflections at St Thomas’ Wells, doing a series of reflections (Monday -Maundy Thursday) on, ‘We are what we eat. Becoming and Being the Body of Christ.’
On Tuesday 15 April, Bishop Michael and people from across the diocese will attend the Chrism Service at Wells Cathedral, and say farewell to Bishop Ruth.

On Saturday evening he will be providing a testimony at the launch of the Incoming Ministries event being held in Street, before rising early to join in with Taunton Minster’s 05:30 Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at which 12 people from across the diocese will be confirmed. He will then return to Wells to preside and preach at the Cathedral’s Easter Sunday morning service at 11:00.
