Churches from across Bath and Wells can create posters for their churches to share the impact that they make, thanks to the generosity of their congreatations and community.
Natalie Wainwright, Lead Giving and Funding Adviser for Bath and Wells says, "While the Common Fund payment certificate is helpful in confirming that a parish has paid its benefice share contribution, some parishes have told us that it does not help them communicate locally how giving actively supports their own ministry and mission – and that this has sometimes made it difficult to generate financial support from the congregation and wider community. In response to this feedback, we have created some editable poster templates on Canva which churches can adapt to highlight their local impact, which we hope will encourage their congregation and community to continue to offer generous support."
"We hope that those with experience of using Canva, the online design platform, which is free for churches to use, will be able to quickly and easily adapt those for their use. Those without that experience will be offered support to develop their own posters, so won't miss out."
Sample posters have been produced, thanks to sample data from one of our parishes (please note, however, that the photographs used are for illustrative purposes only and drawn from across the diocese).

New to Canva and not sure where to start?
Canva, for those not familiar with it, is an online design and publishing tool which is easy to use, even if you don’t have any design experience. It is free to use, and churches can also apply for a free Canva Pro account which allows access to more functionality. If you would like to learn more about Canva and how to use it, the Church of England’s Digital Labs has some really helpful introductory webinars which you can access on their website.
