Diocesan Confirmation Service

Bishop Ruth will be presiding over the Diocesan Confirmation Service in Wells Cathedral on 4 November.

Any parishes with candidates taking part in the service should send the candidate details to Penny Gibbs at the Bishops' Office by 13 October 2023.

In her letter to candidates Bishop Ruth says, "I am absolutely delighted that you are taking the step of Confirmation and we give thanks for all that has taken place to bring you to this point in your journey of faith.

"We have found that holding a Diocesan Confirmation in our Cathedral is a very moving occasion. You will be one of a group of people, of all ages and abilities, from across the diocese, making this public declaration of faith and commitment. I believe that joining with others in our spectacular and inspirational Cathedral will make it even more memorable for you."
