Reading - John 1:22-23
Finally they said, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’ ”
Reflection
God came to live among humanity in the form of Jesus. What do you think Jesus would say about the state of the planet if he were here today?
Prayer
God of creation, thank you that you chose to live among us in the person of Jesus. We are sorry for harming your creation. Show us how we can put things right. Amen.
Activity
On the nineteenth day of Advent:
- Place a cross to represent Jesus on your spiral.
- Walk around your neighborhood and if you notice litter, pick it up and dispose of it safely.
