We are a Benefice and single Parish of three historic churches based in rural villages near Bath, Somerset. We’re looking forward to welcoming a House for Duty Rector to lead us spiritually as individuals, helping to equip us to reach out to our communities. We recognise the challenges of the House for Duty role and offer a supportive team to work with you in this new chapter.
We can offer you:
• A well-appointed, modern 4-bedroom Rectory with easy access to good local schools.
• A loyal team willing to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities, including worship.
• Friendly village communities on the southern edge of the Cotswold AONB.
• A team of churchwardens across three villages and a paid parish administrator who manages the accounts, supported by our PCC treasurer.
• Three foundation governors and a small team willing to work with you in the school.
We are praying our next incumbent will:
• Help us discern God’s vision for the Parish, inspire and build us up spiritually.
• Be a people person, good communicator and listener, who enjoys getting involved in village life.
• Comfortable in rural and village settings, building relationships with the school, preschool, and all sectors of the community.
• Challenge and encourage us as we strive to make our church more visible.
• Be adaptable, open-minded, and able to lead a variety of services.
• Inspire children, young people and families to become involved in church.
