For more than ten years, a dedicated group of trained volunteers has been making a difference to the lives of students at Pyrland School, a large secondary school in Taunton.
Bishop Michael and Archdeacon Simon Hill were shown around the 430 acre site where they saw the newly constructed nuclear reactors and turbines, and had the opportunity to meet Hinkley’s Construction Director.
Around 300 people enjoyed the Christmas Carol Service in Wheddon Cross, which brought members of the farming community, the local churches and many more together to celebrate Christmas.
Andy Paget reflects on more than 28 years as a force chaplain with Avon and Somerset Police as he steps back from lead role and make the transition to a more localised and specific role.
It was an opportunity for pupil chaplains to connect with others from different contexts, learn more about their roles and to celebrate what they are doing together.
The £312,850 grant fund pot has been created from a number of sources, including the national church’s Buildings for Mission project and the Net Zero Carbon Quick Wins grant scheme.
