Bishop Ruth recently (17 June) joined Safe Families to mark their five-year anniversary working with the local authority in Somerset in a service at Taunton Minster. They are also holding an online information evening on Thursday, 22 June at 19:30 for anyone interested in hearing more about the charity’s work.
The Church will be well represented at Glastonbury this year. The Church Tent returns and you may also see Revd David McGeoch, St John's Glastonbury, on his rounds around the site as Chaplain as well as Revd Diana Greenfield, Pioneer Chaplain.
As we continue to pray for all those affected by the stabbings in Bath and Nottingham, Bishop Ruth spoke to BBC Radio Somerset on Sunday, reflecting on how we can support one another, especially our young people, especially in the light of such tragic incidents.
Earlier this year Bishop Michael asked people across our diocese to consider how we are living out our vision of living and telling the story of Jesus in response to God’s immense love for us, and to consider how we might best do that in the next season of our diocesan life together.

Emma is passionate about community and is looking forward to working at the heart of the community in All Saints, Weston, Bath with North Stoke and Langridge where she will serve her curacy.

Harry will serve his curacy in the Benefice of Christ Church and St Mary’s, Frome and will continue to run his bookshop alongside his role as a self-supporting minister.
