We are looking for an energetic, outward-looking, people person who is passionate about helping us to extend the Kingdom of God in our villages. Our Benefice in North Somerset has 2 beautiful churches from which we are looking to reach our communities.
We are praying that our new Rector will help us take this Vision forward – so are you:
- A prayerful leader who is guided by the Holy Spirit?
- A skilled communicator who can comfortably engage with all to tell the story of Jesus?
- Wanting to be a ‘Visible Vicar’ in our community as we seek to be a transforming presence?
- Passionate about Children, Young People and Families – as we are looking to extend our existing outreach to them through the schools?
- Able to lead us in unity, celebrating the diversity of worship we offer?
- A collaborative team player who will encourage cross church initiatives?
We can offer:
- Support from 2 lay leaders, 2 retired clergy, 2 PCCs and 4 churchwardens
- A paid Children and Young People’s worker fully engaged with the local junior school
- A paid Administrator in our Benefice office
- A modern 5-bedroom Rectory
- 2 beautiful well-maintained historic church buildings
