Bishop Michael joined local dignitaries at Two Rivers Church of England Primary, Keynsham for the official opening of our newest church academy.
Suzanne McDonald, Assistant Director School Organisation from the Diocesan Education Team said, “While the school has been open for some time, it was wonderful to hold a celebration to mark its opening and for Bishop Michael to pray for the school, its pupils, its staff and the wider school community. The event was extra special because the CEO of Futura Learning Partnership, Andrea Arlidge, which the school belongs to, is retiring at the end of term and has been involved with the school from the very beginning when the trust bid for a new church school.
“Bishop Michael thoroughly enjoyed meeting the children afterwards in their classrooms, seeing their work, and our most environmentally friendly school.”
