Young people from churches across the diocese took the chance to attend the Satellites Christian festival at the Bath and West Showground, near Shepton Mallet over the weekend.
The new memorial website is the result of 8 years of research by Bath Abbey’s archive team of staff and volunteers which was carried out as part of the Footprint Project, funded largely by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
In his letter to parishes this month, Bishop Michael talks of the joy of supporting and nurturing our young people.
In Bath and Wells we are blessed to have 182 Church of England schools. While they each support their children in their own unique way, their values are underpinned by the Church of England’s values of wisdom, hope, community and dignity. Supporting our schools with their own unique talents are our school governors.
Churches across Bath and Wells and in Zambia are invited to celebrate the links between the dioceses on Sunday, 2 July on the renamed ‘Zambia - Bath and Wells Sunday’.

It’s been three years since Bath and Wells declared a climate emergency and committed to Net Zero by 2030. During that time church communities have been making changes in a host of ways, all doing their bit to care for creation and help us achieve our goals, and in November we achieved A Rocha’s Bronze Eco Diocese status.
